Exhibition on Paul Ehrlich\u2019s Ariston now on view in the Black Forest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The traveling exhibition on the beginning of “digital” music playback has moved to southern Germany and will be on display from March 28. to October 18. 2026 at the Auto- und Uhrenmuseum Erfinderzeiten<\/a> in Schramberg<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How did people listen to music at home before the gramophone was invented?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

They used an ariston! Hardly known today, the ancestor of the turntable was invented in Leipzig by Paul Ehrlich, where he also built half a million units in his factory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a new traveling exhibition about Paul Ehrlich and his ariston. It starts at Deutsches Automatenmuseum, Espelkamp, Germany from 2. April to 18.May 2025 and will then move to Grassi Museum, Leipzig, Germany from 12. June to until 2. November 2025. Afterwards a visit to Switzerland is planned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The German LP magazine tested the backbone silk<\/a> signal cable in the configuration as turntable cable in their issue 04\/2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lehmannaudio Decade Jubilee available<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A new, improved version of the legendary phono preamp Lehmannaudio Decade is available now and ready for listening at selected Lehmannaudio dealers<\/a>. The press response is fantastic, it was a great honour for Audictive to contribute to the revision of this classic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, the Decade Jubilee performs marvellously with the Audictive backbone silk<\/a> signal cables.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Testing new pre-amp components <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The technical progress keeps advancing and is always supplying the audio sector with new exciting developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the moment, a new chip for volume control caught our interest, the Muses 72323. And because we always want to know for our customers whats the best solution, we are testing the chip volume pot in combination with the new OPA1656 operational amplifier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first test PCBs are populated, now the programming starts. We’re excited to hear what that sounds like!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Upgrading the phono cartridge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Because of some recent developments in the topic of vinyl, it was time to significantly improve our reference turntable sound capabilities. Having a Technics 1210 MK2 with Audictive cable tuning on hand, it was obvious for the additional aesthetic reasons, the cartridge has as to be an Ortofon Concord system again, but a much better one then the old Broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luckily, on the occasion of the Ortofon 100th birthday, they (re-)made an audiophile version of this phono cartridge normally valued by the finest DJs: The Concorde Century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A superior high range resolution without annoying sharpness, warm mids and deep dry basses. That’s the way to make soundtesting work more fun!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
